Sharon Yvonne Stone, born on March 10, 1958, in Meadville (Pennsylvania), is the daughter of Dorothy Lawson, a former factory worker, and Joseph William Stone, a maker of tools and dies. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her three siblings. Stone was considered academically gifted when she was a kid and started in second grade at the age of five. She earned a high school certificate in Saegertown in Saegertown situated in Pennsylvania in the year 1975. In 1975, the Miss Pennsylvania beauty competition saw her winning Miss Crawford County. Stone and her aunt relocated from New Jersey to New Jersey in order to pursue a career as a model in 1977. The two signed on with the Ford Modeling Agency after a couple of months. After that, she moved to Europe and spent the whole year living in Milan and Paris. Stone, however, became frustrated with modeling and acting in Europe. She chose to pursue her career acting as a model while living in Europe. At 20, she appeared in the film of Woody Allen "Stardust Memories" that received mixed praises.
